New research shows middle-aged single, divorced and widowed Canadians are often skipping condoms, with only about a third of men aged 40 to 59 and a quarter of women of the same age range reporting they practiced safe sex during their last sexual encounter. The study found 65 per cent of men in that age bracket surveyed online reported not using a condom the last time they had sex, while the number jumped to 72 per cent for women. The researches were released in the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality.
